Our Story

25 Years.
One Focus.

Egyptian Suppliers for Trade & Manufacturing was built on a single conviction — that Egypt could manufacture steel tube to the same standard as any global supplier, and deliver it to Africa faster than anyone else. We have spent 25 years proving it.

Our Story

Built in
Egypt.

ESTM was founded in 1996 as a steel trading company, before commissioning its first tube mill in 2012 — built on a conviction that the African continent deserved a reliable, proximate source of quality steel tube — not 45-day lead times from Asia.

Over nearly 30 years, we have expanded our product range, our coating capability, and our fabrication services. Today we produce round, square, rectangular, and oval hollow sections across four coating types — from our own coil through to finished tube — in a single integrated facility.

In 2025 we began our next chapter: investing in CNC bending, precision cutting, and sub-assembly fabrication — transitioning from a tube supplier into a full fabrication partner for construction, solar, and hospitality sectors across Africa and the Gulf.

Key Milestones

A Quarter
Century.

1996
Founded as a trading company
ESTM established as a steel trading company, supplying Egyptian and regional markets with steel products.
2012
Tube mill commissioned
First ERW tube mill opened. Production begins on round, square, and rectangular hollow sections in HRC and CRC.
2013
Production expanded
Second tube line added, expanding capacity and profile range. ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications achieved — opening doors to EPC and industrial customers.
2018
GI & ZAM coating
ZAM-coated tube added to the product range, enabling solar mounting and coastal construction market segments.
2022
Export programme launched
Structured export development programme launched across East Africa, North Africa, and the Gulf markets.
2026
Fabrication hub launched
1,500m² fabrication expansion commissioned. CNC tube bending, tube fibre laser cutting machine, and welding capability added — marking ESTM's transition from tube supplier to full fabrication partner.

What Drives Us

Our Values.

01
Proximity is an advantage

We are 7–14 days from East Africa and 2–4 days from the Gulf. Our customers don't hold 45 days of working capital in ocean freight. That's not just convenience — it's a structural cost advantage we pass on.

02
Quality without compromise

ISO 9001:2015 is the floor, not the ceiling. We produce to ASTM A500, EN 10219, and AS 1163 specifications because our customers need to show those standards to their clients. We do the work so they don't have to.

03
Africa is our market

Egypt is a gateway — to East Africa, West Africa, North Africa, and the Gulf. Under AfCFTA, Egyptian-made tube ships with preferential duty treatment across 54 member states. We are building for that continent, not just one country.

04
From tube to assembly

The highest-margin steel product is not raw tube — it's the finished sub-assembly. Our fabrication expansion is a deliberate move up the value chain. We want to be a manufacturing partner, not a commodity supplier.

05
Relationships before transactions

We are a family business. We answer calls, send proforma invoices same day, and stand behind our product. The businesses that grow with us are the ones that trust us enough to call when something goes wrong.

06
Reinvest, always

Every expansion we have made — from 38mm to 76mm, from CRC to ZAM, from tube to fabrication — has been reinvested from operations. We grow deliberately, not recklessly.
